Colin, I know thanks to the very first Colin Mcrae Rally video game. I was like 5. And thats thanks to you I love cars so much, rallying and all that stuff. You were a great man who has been driven not only for fun, but for other people too. You used to make me dream, but I know I wont forget you because it is thanks to you that I have the job I always wanted to. I am the person I wanted to be, thanks to you. Thank you. I remember some years ago now when the stages were on cold dark and wet mornings and there was nothing quite like the anticipation waiting for mcrae the hairs on the back of your neck would stand on end as a roaring noise would echo through the forrests from miles away and would just get closer until the car would come round the corner on full charge and thousands of spectators would sound air horns light fireworks and cheer, it was a spectical and he was and incredible talent that we may never see quite a like again, legend, superstar, colin mcrae!

Time surely flies!!!I can remember myself as a young kid watching Colin n Sainz in Subarus, destroying my favourite teamTTE in the 90s-1995 in particular- I couldnt stand it.After his first win in here in Kenya i got hooked by the driving of the legend.Two more titles followed and for sure Colin was the king of the Safari Rally and my rallying hero.I didnt realise 4 years had passed since he went. THANX 4 THE MEMORIES!!! We will keep the philosophy going...If in doubt,flat out!!!

When i think of the word Rally, there is only one face that ever comes to mind. Colin Mcrae will always be a hero to the millions of fans who travel accross continents for just one glimpse of a true legend at the wheel of what ever car you were given.. All too soon you were taken away and the world of Rally is a far sadder place without you. Colin was the greatest, I am still only 14 but I remember watching his DVD, Pedal to the Metal that made take an interest. Ever since then I have aways been a massive fan. I always remember the day I watched him race at Wales GB when he was racing for Skoda, and even in the stadium stage he still managed to put on a show! He was a great driver, and one we will never ever ever ever see again. I still hold my best wishes even now to his family and hope his legacy continues

I was a little boy when I starded watching you win rally stages . I still remeber the one drive in Corsica...I think you didn´t win that time, but man, you drove your heart there . Also i have known you best from the rally games i know it sounds stupid, but it´s been so many sequels that i thought that i know you . Colin I cannot believe I am just now finding out that you have passed. I used to follow rally racing as a young kid and now with my own family and work I have forgotten about some of my true passions. I know the same could not be said about you. You did what you loved and managed to share that passion with friends and family. I truly wish your family the best. You are in good company now and I pray for everyone near you to be strong and I hope they find comfort in knowing that you did great things with your short life. cuando jugue al colin mcrae rally a los 9 años empece a hacerme en un fan de Colin, porque su tecnica para conducir me atraia, y yo veia los videos y no podia creer, todas las curvas las tomaba sin problemas, frenaba un poco, se abria se volvia a cerrar, derrapaba, volanteaba y aceleraba a fondo era increible!.la verdad, fuiste y seguiras siendo un grande Colin, me gusto mucho tu frase if in doubt...flat out! porque no hay q dudar nunca siempre hay q estar dispuesto a todo, que descanse en paz Colin McRae.

Colin.... what a legend. I saw the young Colin in the forests of Wales when was a kid, when the RAC was a true rally, have grown up with him as my idol, what a star. Even got his autograph when went to New Zealand to watch the WRC while he was with Citroen, a true gent. We miss you mate, you inspired many people, you were the best.

Truly missed. You made my love for Subarus grow and grow and I now own 2 Subaru Legacies, one a GTB Estate and the other being a Legacy Saloon which will be a Rothmans look a like within the next 2 yrs. I had the pleasure of watching Colin from his younger days and meeting him at Builth Wells Service Area on the RAC Rally in which my friend photographed him signing my 555 Subaru cap, which I still have to date. I travelled the length and depth of the country following this legend yr in yr out and still do to date, but the rally scene is not the same without you. Gone but not forgetton. A true legend and sadly missed.RIP Colin and Johnny.

I consider myself fortunate to have met Colin McRae in the flesh at the finish line in Harrogate at the end of Rally GB in the early Nineties. He'd crashed out earlier and was spectating like the rest of us, albeit across the road behind me. I didn't approach him or ask for his autograph... something I regret now, I simply turned and looked and acknowledged him with a nod and a smile. Colin nodded his head in return and smiled back. It was before he was really famous and it's a memory I will treasure forever, however brief it may have been. I'm a massive fan and I've followed Colin's rally career since his Vauxhall Nova days til his untimely passing in 2007. A very sad loss of both Colin, and son Johnny. Life is so cruel. Rest In Peace boys.
